Master Dan Embree

 Master Dan Embree is the Owner / President of the Idaho Self-defense Center established January 2000. As a martial artist Dan has training in Ryukyu Kempo, Tang Soo Do, American Kenpo Karate, Aikido, Hapkido, Kung-fu, Judo, Jujitsu, Wing Chung, Shaolin Chin Na, Jeet Kune Do, and Taekwondo. Master Dan is a gifted teacher that has created two age appropriate martial art programs Kid S.A.F.E. and Adult S.M.A.R.T. karate. Our self-defense programs are designed for women, personal & family protection to learn quick easy and very effective defensive skills.

In addition Martial Arts and Self-defense we offer a Nationally Certified Tactical course called C.D.T. which is designed for Law Enforcement and Security Specialist Defensive Tactics.

As a Protector Master Dan is a Private Investigator and specializes in research and surveillance Body Guard and Executive Protection and tactical Firearms Instructor. The ISC is a part of the Ada County Sheriff’s Youth Foundation since 2003 to help redirect at risk children. Master Dan is the only Certified Pressure Point Master in the treasure valley that owns a school. In 2005 Master Dan was recognized as a Seven’s Hero Award Winner (KTVB Channel 7, Boise, ID). Dan is also Lifetime Member – International Martial Arts Council of America 2005 Inducted into United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame (Humanitarian Award – 2005)  Inducted into World Karate Union Hall of Fame (Master of the Year Award – 2006) President of the Idaho Professional Martial Art Alliance 2007 7th Degree Black Belt / Senior Professor – Martial Science  2010.

There is a healing side to a martial artist.  Master Dan is a certified massage therapist since 1996 specializing in therapeutic and relaxing massage.

Dan is also trained in First Aid and C.P.R. Certified (2011) Master Dan is also certified in Hypnotherapy since 2009 to help people Lose Weight and Stop Smoking.  We also offer Personal Training in Free Weights and Core Training.
